Job Description Overview
Our growing mountain apparel business is seeking an experienced, motivated team member to contribute to the growth and success of the Custom sales channel within SYNC. Being an account manager includes maintaining and growing relationships with new and existing partners in the Custom program. We have the goal of being the easiest company to do business with, and you will be a major part of fulfilling that vision.
About the Role:
At SYNC, everyone wears many hats. On any given day, you could work with non-profit partners, chipping in on social media content, helping write web and email copy, testing products, and providing feedback. But the key objectives and desired results for this role break down into two main categories.
Account management means you will be the main point of contact for administrators of Custom program customers. That means working to refine their needs and properly implementing their product selection, pricing, and mockups into their own unique store.
Operations management means taking ownership of the workflow to get customers their products in a timely manner. You will be focused on organizing all essential information outlined and building team stores. It will be essential to understand our online store platform and inventory management systems to keep orders going where they need to go, on time, and accurately.
A non-exhaustive list of things this person will do on a day-to-day basis:
Account Management (50%):
Work with the Sales team to coordinate deadlines, and product requirements
Build and update team stores through SYNC’s online platform
Maintain a deep knowledge of product line function, fit, and features
Respond promptly, articulately, and thoroughly to inquiries and requests
Manage relationships with clients to develop long-standing brand loyalty
Oversee any required account management for Custom Program clients, including the creation of product draft designs, building online team store products, embellishment, shipping, and delivery
Offers alternative solutions to meet customer needs
Own and report regularly on company Objectives and Key Results to management
Implement best practices and improve upon any processes that can be improved
Alert customers regarding the delivery of the product
Operations Management (50%):
Batch custom store orders in a timely manner to be processed for embroidery
Work with the custom logistics and operations team to facilitate administrator's questions via phone and email regarding but not limited to product availability, order status, discounts, inventory status, and return/warranty/repairs - responding promptly and clearly is crucial.
Offer alternate and creative solutions to resolve customers’ complaints or critiques
Process Improvement: taking the initiative to pitch and implement ways to streamline workflows
Work closely with Custom program logistics and customer service coordinator to assist with custom order satisfaction
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required
Microsoft Office and Google Business Suite proficiency required
Knowledge and background in the ski racing world preferred
Customer service experience desired
Core Competencies
Must be able to analyze and solve problems independently
Quick learner of new systems and able to create/implement processes
Must communicate effectively and efficiently in person, via email, and on the phone
Must be extremely meticulous, attentive to detail, and accurate
Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
